October 2012: GMA Cover Australia Pty Ltd (GMACA), a Norseman Structures distributor in Australia, has won contracts with Bechtel Australia to supply warehouses and workshops for Bechtel’s LNG (liquefied natural gas) project located at Gladstone, Queensland, Australia.
To date, GMACA & Norseman Structures have installed 6 warehouse and workshop buildings of various sizes with 10 more building projects to follow.
The multi-billion dollar project, which is owned by BG Group and Queensland Gas Company, draws on extensive coal seam gas reserves, treats and then sends via a 540 km pipeline to Gladstone for conversion to LNG and shipped to markets overseas. The project will produce 8.5 million of LNG per year.
